After verifying the economic and financial benefits of implementing the new SMR technology in the Zone, we moved on to talks for the financing and construction of a power plant consisting of 10 small nuclear reactors.
LSEZ sees enormous advantages in being at the forefront of building a modular nuclear power plant. The experimentation will provide a unique experience to the companies in the area that will be involved in its construction.
In June, Last Energy signed an agreement with the Polish state energy company Enea SA to collaborate on the construction of SMR, potentially in Poland. Under the letter of intent between Enea and Last Energy, the two companies will initially cooperate for the development, construction and further distribution of the SMRs. There is also the possibility of setting up a joint company in Poland, responsible for the implementation of Last Energy's SMR technology in Poland. After confirming the economic and technological feasibility and obtaining the related certificates, the companies will decide the scope of further cooperation based on the market analyzes carried out and the needs of the Enea Group.
