An app to skip the queues from the highway to the airport

After the motorway, the car parks and the ski pass, the Telepass non-stop experience lands in the airports
This summer the Telepass app will accompany the Italian tourist in all phases of the journey.
From purchasing the plane ticket to paying for parking at the airport, passing through the fast track and, once at your destination, paying for taxis and means of transport, all with a single app.
Therefore, from 5 August it will be possible to "pass in a beep" not only on the motorway using the Telepass device, but also at the airport, and then pay for trains, planes or ferries, book a taxi or a sharing car, pay for parking, in short organize any trip in Italy or abroad always with Telepass.
All the details.
TELEPASS FAST TRACK IN AIRPORTS: PRIORITY AND FREE ACCESS TO SECURITY CHECKS
As on the motorway, where Telepass has allowed transit without stopping in the dedicated lanes since 1990, from 5 August Telepass customers will also be able to experience a similar experience at the airport: the new service just launched allows them to pass through security checks through access priority and free at the Fast Track gate. Telepass customers will be able to present themselves at the Fast Track lane gate by showing their boarding pass and QR code from their phone screen. The new service allows free access to a preferential lane which allows you to quickly and easily reach the security checks and, consequently, the boarding area, reducing waiting times.
Launched on 5 August at the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino, and soon active in the main national airports, the new service is free for Telepass Plus customers and free for Basic customers until 31 December 2024.
HOW THE FAST TRACK SERVICE WORKS
Specifically, customers can request "Fast Track" in the App by accessing the "Summary" section and tapping on "Fast Track" and entering the tax code and email linked to an active Telepass contract. Once the data has been entered, a QR code will be generated which will be sent to the customer via e-mail and which can be used to access the dedicated lane at the airport. Each customer has up to a maximum of 5 Fast Tracks available which they can use for themselves or their travel companions. The Fast Track does not need to be printed, but the QR code must be shown when accessing the dedicated lane.
TELEPASS OBJECTIVE: TO MAKE MOBILITY INCREASINGLY MORE INTEGRATED AND FLUID
On the other hand, the objective of the various features of the Telepass app is to solve various mobility problems (not only on motorways) at 360 degrees.
For example, the app allows you to pay for blue lines and thus visit culturally stimulating places. But it also works for on-site parking: not only in the centers of art cities, but also in strategic places such as train stations and airports. Staying on four wheels, the app allows you to book and pay for classic traffic vehicles such as taxis, for example, in the main Italian cities, or those linked to micromobility, or allows you to pay for fuel or electric charging.
In addition to parking, the application concentrates a series of truly varied services linked to the booking and payment of mobility services. Like city buses or the metro, or in the case of the lagoon city even the Venezia Unica City Pass, which allows access with a single tool to public transport and services connected to the city's cultural offering. For those who want to reach their favorite places, even abroad, and without using the car, it is possible to purchase train, plane and ferry tickets via the app. Furthermore, the app allows you to purchase travel insurance to adapt to your needs for any scheduled journey.
ELECTRONIC TOLL ALSO ABROAD
News also for Italian tourists who want to travel abroad. It's not just about insurance coverage but actually overcoming the toll obstacle in some of the countries most dear to us, and therefore major holiday destinations. Using electronic tolls is not yet a European prerogative even if there has always been an international vocation in the company's DNA: just think that the first Telepass devices were used on the occasion of the 1990 World Cup in Italy to allow technical operators (from the teams to journalists, passing through technicians) to arrive at the stadium in time. However, not all European nations have set up toll booth access systems with the technological facilitation that allows rapid passage.
However, it is precisely the countries which are the favorite destination of Italian holidays this summer that have adopted electronic tolls, given that Telepass has already launched a European device a few years ago. These are in particular France, Spain, Portugal and Croatia.
The novelty introduced this season is the application of the Telepass system also in some countries that use the so-called motorway permit, created by a vignette system. For a few months now, it has also been possible to travel in these countries by acquiring an electronic vignette via the Telepass app. This is particularly the case in Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
FOCUS CASHBACK
Using the ecosystem also allows you to have access to important cashbacks such as 20% on tolls paid throughout the summer (until September 30th, up to a maximum of 25 euros). Important advantages also for refueling: 2% cashback on the first service performed by the app. For electric car owners, however, the first charge is free, with 100% cashback.
30 SERVICES ON THE TELEPASS APP
Therefore, from the payment of the blue lines to the ZTL, from sharing mobility to both car insurance and insurance related to protection when using mobility services, to date the Telepass ecosystem, based on apps, has over 30 services.
From the payment of affiliated car parks in airports, stations, fairs, Telepass aims to enhance the possibilities of motorists as well as in motorway mobility, where it has been a leader since the 90s, even when faced with a ferry, a car park, a tax to pay, a taxi to book or scooter to rent.
