LinkedIn Top Startups – Methodology

LinkedIn measures startups based on four criteria: the growth of these companies' workforce, user interactions with companies and their employees, the interest of job seekers in these startups, and their ability to attract talent.

To be eligible, companies must be independent and private, have 30 or more employees resident in the country, be no older than 7, and be based in the country in which they appear. We exclude all recruiting firms, think tanks, venture capital firms, management and IT consulting firms, non-profit and philanthropic organizations, accelerators and government-owned entities. Startups that have laid off 20% or more of their workforce in the considered time period are also ineligible.
