They raped Democracy! Who raped Democracy?

They raped democracy. But who raped democracy? The alarm was raised – complete with tatters of clothes and invocation of the 25th amendment – by all the generalist media with a unified regime. They raped American democracy. It happened on the sixth of January. The symbol itself, the sacred beating heart of the Democratic Goddess: Capitol Hill, was raped. And the fault lies with the horned man and that other drunk man.

According to the cliché of boring cops, everything was found immediately: the victim (US democracy, in fact); the principal (the stinker Trump); the culprit (the populist populace). Then the chorus of TV lounges started with the classic format of the prêt-à-porter democratic debate: the presenter broke the news (they raped democracy and it is the fault of Trump and the populist populace); the guest of cry screams his pain (they have raped democracy and it is the fault of Trump and the populist populace); the reference intellectual critically analyzes what happened (they violated democracy and it is the fault of Trump and the populist populace); finally, the special envoy from Washington explains what really happened (they raped democracy and it is the fault of Trump and the populist people).

Never, since mass media has existed, has a phenomenon received media coverage that is not only so "total", but so "totalitarian". Dissent on the issue was simply not contemplated. Still, a thread of dissent deserved asylum somewhere. For example, the one deriving not from the heartfelt denunciation (they have violated democracy), but from a provocative question (but who has violated democracy?). The answer is not easy, but neither is it impossible. Perhaps the rapists of democracy are more than one. And maybe there have been more rapes.

The very serious and "formal" one (the violation of the institutional space of the Capitol) on which we all agree and on which there has been too much talk. And the equally serious and "substantial" one of which hardly anyone talks about and hasn't talked about. Substantial rape has to do, for example, with the most blatant electoral fraud in history. Denounced by the President of the greatest democracy, etc., etc., without the self-styled followers of the greatest democracy, etc., etc., they felt obliged to unleash their best hounds to see if it was true. Nothing: no investigation of the "reliable" media, no in-depth analysis, no dossier. And, mind you, let's talk about that fifth power that once called itself the "watchdog of democracy". And that today works very well as a retriever for establishment tissue.

And then there is the substantial rape represented by a President of the most powerful country in the world (democratically elected four years ago) whose Facebook account is closed by Mark Zuckerberg with this surreal and – it goes without saying – "democratic" enunciation : "We are convinced that the risks of allowing the president to continue using our service during this period are too high." Fortunately, Zuckerberg watches over American democracy while Bill Gates watches over our health and Jeff Bezos watches over our entertainment.

At this point, the risk is to overestimate the Capitol Hill episode which is only a choreographed, and perhaps even misleading, part of the rape. While the substantial part is constituted by a global system where the information is no longer free because it is possessed by those same strong powers that should fear it. Who not only write the Agenda of History, without having been legitimized by it, but then "legitimize" it (indeed, "justify" it) in turn through the monopoly of news channels: spreading, and allowing, a single accepted thought , it's acceptable.

A system in which the private, sprawling and omnipervasive expressions of media and social capitalism (in close collaboration with the economic, financial, banking and hidden ramifications of the same Matrix) dictate the line to the Future. And if the elected of the people do not comply, the "elevated" can determine whether or not those elected have (and to what extent) the right to speak. Once it was the openly "fascist" dictators who censored the freedom of private expression. Today it works the other way around: it is the monopolists deprived of freedom of expression who censor the alleged "fascist" dictators.

So we have at least two monumental problems of substantial democracy: 1) the alleged adulteration of the outcome of a "democratic" vote not investigated by those who should have done it for professional vocation; 2) the existence of a dome of multimillionaires to whom the "steering wheel" of tomorrow has in fact been delivered: they guide us towards a Destiny (decided by them) by drawing – like capricious brats in the throes of senile dementia – the "great reset ”of our little ancient world.

And if certain elections do not go as they wish, there is always the possibility of "fixing" them. And there is also the stupendous (paradoxical) possibility of censoring not only dissidents (with respect to the System), but even the President of the "largest democracy in the world". Yet, for the mainstream, the problem is only the (albeit regrettable) invasion of Capitol Hill. Perhaps the most appropriate interpretation lies in the comment of a local democrat, the President of the Province of Bergamo Giorgio Gori, who summarized the story as follows: “I look and regard these people parading. Who I am? Proletarians, I would like to say ”. And again: “Poor poorly educated, marginal, easily manipulated, junk food and fake news, puppets in the hands of a wretch who used them for his power. Is this how you become a fascist? ”.

He probably took the words out of the mouth of many members of a party that prided itself on representing the proletarians. Which makes you smile, but it helps to understand. The only concern of too many "democrats" is formal democracy outraged by four "proletarian" hounders. Instead, substantial democracy raped by the New Masters of the world is fine as it is. But be careful: this is also how one becomes a fascist.
