All the consequences of the blocking of evictions, what is the government doing?

All the consequences of the blocking of evictions, what is the government doing?

The government says something about the (confirmed) blocking of evictions after the decision of the Constitutional Court. The intervention of Corrado Sforza Fogliani

The Constitutional Court therefore declared the legitimacy of the blocking of evictions, which will continue. A bolt from the blue, destined to weigh heavily also on the recovery (in which it was hoped) of construction, the activity that more than any other pours (we will see however the sentence and its motivation) on the others (about 35/40 sectors).

Bolt from the blue because it seemed impossible that the Council could give its endorsement to the fact that, with the excuse of the pandemic, the evictions pronounced by the judicial authorities could be blocked even before the pandemic broke out …

But the consequences of what has happened will in any case be enormous, not only and not so much on the economic level in general, but above all on the psychological level. For some time now there has been no one (a consequence of the destruction of the related sector) who buys a property to collect an income, let alone now. And this even without taking into account the tax increases that (with certainty, beyond the formal political denials, which now leave the time they find …) will follow the now certain revision of the Cadastre, with its official change from income (as always , from the unitary state onwards) in patrimonial (as it was in the pre-unification states).

The manfrina of the eviction blocks practically lasts from the 2nd post-war period (it had in fact begun in '20, 1st post-war period). Over and over again the politicians have said that they would no longer be willing, and they have always done them beautifully.

The Consult, even decades ago, came to say that yet another extension, such as the one already arranged, would be the "last" tolerated. But as if nothing had happened, many others followed, up to that of a few days ago.

People (especially small savers) no longer believe in any formal reassurance (such as the one that the Cadastre would be modified only to fix it, and not to increase tariffs!). As soon as Minister Lupi had had the declared courage to put an end to the manfrina, for some time the quiet in the sector had lasted, despite all the gloomy forecasts set for half a century (no one has ever gone to sleep under the bridges, as they said, and it is said).

Then, the quiet of freedom and the recognition of proprietary rights was unexpectedly broken by the block now declared perfect, constitutionally perfect. And why? As far as we know (the judgment of the Consulta – as mentioned – has not yet been released; its content – even paradoxically – has been reported by the Press Office of the Court, as is now increasingly the case, times require it … ) because the Government has given signs of resipiscence for the future. As if the crime of theft could be considered terminated if the thief gave signs of repentance or returned part of the stolen goods.

Politicians and judges – it is hard to say, but it must be said – joke with fire. The population is demanding that the state show up, not only to collect taxes, but also to protect their rights (if so, owners). But this, not even for a dream.

Vet incrustations forbid giving to people what people (who don't even know what they keep paying taxes for) imperiously ask. Penalties are inflicted on those who have made nothing but sacrifices.

Meanwhile, the de facto cancellation of the lease (no one believes anymore in the related private law contracts) is beginning to be felt by many parties. Mobility of workers across the territory is made impossible. Young university students can no longer find a place to sleep away from home. And we cannot even complain that this happens and, even less, we can say that we had not said (and expected) what would happen.

The government should at least say something, in the name of the civilization of living and responsibility.
