The CCNL, which expired on 31 March, will be valid for three years and will expire on 31 March 2026. About 56,000 employees work in the sector in almost 5,000 companies. In the coming weeks, the hypothesis of an agreement will be presented and voted on by the workers in the assemblies in the workplace by 31 July.

Economic part

The agreement provides for an overall increase (Tec) of 200 euros. On the minimum (Tem) the salary increase will be 180 euros at the third level, divided as follows: 60 euros from December 2023; 60 euros from December 2024; 60 euros from December 2025. A total salary amount of 3,240 euros.

On contractual welfare, an increase of 3 euros is expected on Sanimoda supplementary healthcare, starting from January 2024, while on the Previmoda pension fund, an increase of 0.30% is expected to be paid by companies from July 2025.
In addition, 2 euros on health welfare are provided for insurance coverage for non-self-sufficiency.

The wage guarantee element, for workers whose companies do not apply second-level bargaining, will be raised to 310 euros per year from 2024.

Regulatory part

As regards the new regulations, we note the implementation of the guidelines on worker participation and the guidelines on corporate social responsibility. The provision in the hour bank is raised to 50 hours.

With regard to information rights, the size threshold has been reduced, from 60 to 50 employees, with a consequent expansion to include more companies.

The agreement also provides for an increase in hours for the right to study, which go from the current 100 to 120 per year.
For victims of gender-based violence, one month of paid leave is provided at the expense of the company in addition to what is provided for by law. Furthermore, an unpaid leave period will be included in the contractual regulatory framework to support women in assisted reproduction processes, the Cirinnà law and the new legislation on paternity leave for 10 days are implemented.

As far as work organization is concerned, the notice period for workers and intermediates has been updated and the percentage of part-time work will be raised from 10 to 12% with a new definition of the cases for obtaining it. The discipline of prolonged employment is specified with the extension of the retention of the post in the event of serious pathologies.

In terms of grading, the first level will be eliminated by December 2023 and two coordinators will be appointed to the grading commission, one from the trade union and the other from the employer, who will determine the final single text for the review of the same.

The employers' side also expressed their appreciation of the agreement in question. Stefania Orselli, vice-president of Assopellettieri said: “We are very satisfied with the promptness with which the agreement was reached between the parties at a time when it is important that all the players involved work towards stability and continuous development of such a precious and representative sector of Made in Italy”.
