Here are the political ideas of the Sicobas union

The analysis by Claudio Negro, former secretary of Uil Milan and Lombardy, now senior fellow of the Anna Kuliscioff Foundation

Obvious premise, therefore perhaps useless but better not to be misunderstood: it is not permissible for anyone to resort to violence, in general and even more so in a context of work conflict. And let alone provoke, voluntarily or not, the death of someone.

The Trade Union Movement took almost a century to acquire the right to demonstrate without suffering violence: from Bava Beccaris to Battipaglia! Moreover, the trade union never resorts to violence in labor conflicts.

The Syndicate, in fact. The Organization to which the dead of Biandrate adhered to is quite different: SICOBAS. Now, it is true that the most beautiful Constitution in the world does not place limits on the freedom to set up trade unions (of which the country is a major producer), but if you take the trouble to read up a little on SICOBAS, you will discover a very little "trade union" image.

The Sicobas.org site , from which the browser recommends not accepting cookies and not downloading anything (..!), Informs us that the Organization was born in 2010 from a split of SLAICOBAS, and that it is among the promoters of the "Front sole anticapitalista ”, a trade union and political alliance that brings together parties, social centers and trade unions.

He clarifies with great transparency that "today more than ever the distinction between anti-capitalism and opportunism passes through the Pillars of Hercules of the class struggle and the questioning of the climate of social pacification that has imprisoned the proletarians for decades, with an approach capable of bridging the gap between the immediate needs and conveniences of the proletariat (alternative and antagonistic to those of all other classes) and the historical necessity of a revolutionary break ”.

Further on, he clarifies that the Organization's objective is to defeat "the union between bosses, organized crime, police forces and enslaved trade unions", and paints the strategic context in which he believes he can move in this way: "Making the margin of action for the classic mediation structures of capitalism, first of all the state institutions and trade unions, and start a process of progressive polarization of the clash between bosses and workers ”.

For those wishing a full immersion in the delusions of the 70s, we refer to the site mentioned above: a gourmanderie for fans of political vintage and an opportunity for those who deal with the present. The language and the message are those of Potere Operaio and other extra-parliamentary fractions of the past.

Never seen SICOBAS at a negotiating table (after all, with the theoretical premises seen before …): the target of the Organization in fact is not conflict-agreement but conflict point. Until the mythological realization of "the inevitable historical necessity of revolutionary rupture".

Why should we call it a "union"? Why in an overflow of rhetoric do we have to portray them as martyrs of the bosses' ferocity? The poor man who left his skin probably, for personal culture and experience, had no idea what his role was in the insurrectionist drama in which they had enlisted him.

Please, do not grant licenses of champions of freedom and victims of repression to those who have nothing to do with the two!

The flood of solidarity, affectionate closeness and understanding on the part of the Confederal Union and the always attentive Minister of Labor make me think that the real problem, in its concreteness and in its political significance, has not been well understood and has been bent to the theater of politics of emotional communication.

In a nice article in the Corriere online Dario Di Vico extensively quotes the blog of a former logistics manager who explains how intricate the problem of the labor market and wages in the sector is, and how, specularly to the companies that move in and out the folds of the legislation to play down wages, the SICOBAS and friends move, who have targeted the confederates, have accused them of being accomplices of companies and have ridden the anger, the linguistic difficulties and even the conflicts between ethnic groups, enlisting militants there for "exemplary actions".

And if, after the mourning for the poor victim and the implicit solidarity for the fake trade union, CGIL, CISL and UIL decide to really put their hand to the issue, perhaps claiming a minimum legal wage (perhaps in an extraordinary way) for the sector? At the cost of saying that blocking squares and blocking roads is not progressive?
