How China hits Australia and flirts with Iran

All of China's latest economic moves between Australia and Iran.

The economic war waged by China against Australia continues in a systematic way.

In fact, on March 26, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced that starting from March 28 – and for five years – anti-dumping duties ranging between 116% and 218% will be imposed in relation to imports related to the wine sector.

On the one hand, these economic sanctions are the continuation of those put in place on November 27 against duties on grapes and grape juices fermented and imported from Australia and on the other hand they are the consequence of those implemented on May 11 when China had blocked meat imports causing significant economic damage to the sector.

In fact, it should not be forgotten that China is the first foreign market for Australian meat.

But alongside the offensive actions in the context of economic warfare, China, in order to carry out its global power policy, has put in place a cooperation agreement, which will last for about 25 years, with Iran both in the civil and military context on the occasion of the visit to Iran by the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi.

It is clear that this agreement will, on the one hand, strengthen China's oil and gas supply and, on the other hand, allow Iran to strengthen itself from a military point of view.

This agreement in fact provides for an allocation of 280 billion dollars in the oil and gas sectors.

Once again, the Dragon continues in a linear and coherent way in its foreign policy choices: on 23 January 2016, in fact, both the Chinese president and the Iranian head of state had laid the foundations for a bilateral agreement, an agreement that materialized in the 2020 document .

It is evident that these agreements have also allowed Tehran to overcome the Trumpian policy of maximum pressure and at the same time these economic synergies do nothing but build a series of anti-American alliances in the Middle East.
