New platform for communicating the operating models of private schools on the SIDI portal

The news is one of epoch-making ones: the Ministry has implemented the Sidi platform in which updated and precise data can also be entered for public equal schools, as well as for state public schools.

Every year, the managers or legal representatives of private schools must declare to the competent Regional School Office, in the forms indicated by them and by 30 September of each school year, that they still possess the requisites required by the regulations in force (DPR 29 November 2007, n. 267 and implementing Ministerial Decree of 10 October 2008, n. 83 and subsequent amendments and additions). To this end and with a view to simplifying data collection activities, the General Management for Information Systems and Statistics has set up a platform for the compilation of the Operating Model in the area dedicated to equal schools on the Sidi portal.

Finally it will be possible to have a real and detailed photograph of the world of the Italian public school. An epochal passage from which others will emerge, equally epochal!

Let's make a brief excursus on the current situation. To date, information regarding private schools is collected through the school registry. The platforms are various: SIDI and Scuola in Chiaro; to these are added the regional school offices. During this period, schools access the Sidi Platform and fill in the national student registry (student registry, class and course membership). By September 30th, the Operation of equal schools is completed which, for the Regional School Office for Lombardy, takes place with the SharePoint platform from the "Form Formazione" site, filling in the school registry: it is necessary to communicate the permanence of the requirements of scholastic equality and to provide a photograph of the school year just started with regard to the number of sections, pupils, pupils with disabilities and the hours assigned to them by the GLH (or GLIP). Again: from 11 October to 31 October, always on the SharePoint platform, it is necessary to enter the data relating to the school: Manager, Legal Representative, Coordinator of educational didactic activities, number of classes, number of sections and number of students pursuant to Article 5.3 DM 83/2008. The other Regional School Offices ask for these data by filling in the Operating Model.

Obviously, the succession of requests is not only laborious but prevents us from having reliable and aligned data.

As Minister Bianchi said, we need certainty of data to complete the path towards “autonomy, equality and freedom of educational choice” and, in order to do so, it is necessary to have an “information set”.

Now the time is ripe to overcome such a confused picture, a picture built to art only to feed discrimination, making the school system class. In confusion, you know, everything happens. Serious peer public schools can no longer tolerate it.

With this in mind, the Directorate General for Information Systems and Statistics – which we thank – has set up a platform for the compilation of the Operating Model in the area dedicated to private schools on the Sidi portal. The new platform, available from 16 September, allows the compilation of the Models directly on Sidi by the person in charge of the school secretariat who, through specific functions, can print the Models, so that the Legal representative can verify the accuracy of the information entered and reload, in the same area, the document signed by the Legal Representative, together with the copy of the identity document (the notifications attached by the peer schools will have the value of substitutive declaration of deed of notoriety pursuant to art.47 of the DPR December 28, 2000 n . 445).

The Operating Models will be pre-filled with the information present in the School Registry and it is therefore necessary that the schools verify the correctness of all the data present in the aforementioned Registry and, if necessary, request its modification.

The process described above makes it possible to obtain, on a single platform, an effective summary of all the data and will provide the Ministry and the Regional School Offices with an overall cognitive picture of the reality of private schools, with the possibility of consulting updated and aligned data. also for the purpose of a correct distribution of contributions. We are sure: Alea iacta est.
