The affairs of Massimo Segre and Cristina Seymandi

How was the "Savio operation" born and what was the role of Cristina Seymandi and Massimo Segre. Oscar Serra's article for Lo Spiffero

WHAT STILL UNITES SEGRE AND SEYMANDI

A career on a roller coaster, between politics and business, passing with ease from the 5-star Movement to the centre-right, from the civic committees of Chiara Appendino to the candidacy with Paolo Damilano up to the new life as company captain in Savio, where she entered directly with chevrons of first shareholder and CEO. The protagonist is Cristina Seymandi, a parsley of the Turin salons – daughter of the well-known accountant Roberto Seymandi, who passed away in 2021 – who at the end of last year acquired the majority of the shares of a company on the verge of bankruptcy, became number one, and immediately afterwards it won a regional tender for companies in crisis (law 34/04) and obtained 1.86 million in non-repayable grants used to finance its takeover, plus another 200,000 to safeguard employment levels.

HOW OPERATION SAVIO BEGINS

The project that the company presented to obtain public funding, in fact, concerned the acquisition by Hope Srl of Savio Thesan Spa, the company division dedicated to windows and doors and air care of the Savio Spa group. Hope is a company established in December 2020 with a share capital of 10 thousand euros of which Seymandi holds 80% of the shares. "Operation Savio" begins. As at 31 December 2021, Hope's turnover was 4 thousand euros, the operating loss amounted to 91 thousand euros. This is the company that acquired Savio Thesan, "saved" 153 jobs and faced a debt situation of 100 million euros. To allow Hope to acquire the majority of Savio Thesan, the Region, through FinPiemonte, has put over 2 million euros on the table.

THE ROLE OF MASSIMO SEGRE

To certify Hope's 2021 financial statement is Professor Massimo Segre (in the photo), who in 2021 controlled Savio Thesan through FP Holding. Shortly thereafter, Savio Thesan went into composition with creditors and Cristina Seymandi's Hope (at the time still romantically linked to Segre) arrived to take over. At the time of Hope's establishment, in December 2020, the majority stake was in the hands of Giulio Segre, Massimo's son, only the following year did it pass to Seymandi. Also connected to the Segre family is the person who holds, at the time of the acquisition, the remaining 20% of Hope, i.e. Vittorio Moscatelli, representative of Filizit De Bec, a company based in the Como area that deals with the sale and purchase of properties, but above all the managing director of the Ipi, the safe of the Turin financier, with real estate assets valued at around 314 million.

“I thank Councilor Andrea Tronzano for visiting the company and for listening. The measure provided by the Piedmont Region in support of Savio is essential for its restart and for the safeguarding of the socio-economic fabric of the Lower Val di Susa area" stated the CEO of Savio Seymandi, a couple of weeks ago during his visit to Tronzano company. The same one who, as many will recall, had been designated deputy mayor in pectore by Paolo Damilano on the eve of the 2021 elections, when Seymandi was a candidate on his list, Torino Bellissima, after abandoning the 5-star Movement (which never loved her too much ) and Appendino to one's destiny. On the one hand, therefore, there are the affairs of Segre, a Turin finance man close to Carlo De Benedetti, on the other the political relations of Seymandi.
