Poste Italiane joins forces with the German DHL to strengthen its market for parcels to and from abroad.

Thanks to the extensive network of access to Poste Italiane services, customers will be able to make urgent shipments through the DHL Express global network by delivering them to any of the Poste Italiane collection points. Furthermore, DHL eCommerce Solutions, together with Poste Italiane, will install modern, sustainable and easy-to-use automatic lockers in strategic locations throughout Italy. Finally, DHL eCommerce Solutions will support Poste Italiane by delivering parcels across its European network and Poste Italiane will support DHL eCommerce Solutions by delivering international parcels in Italy.

In the third quarter of 2022, volumes in the B2B segment decreased by 14.3%, year on year, to 8 million units (-12.6% compared to the first nine months of 2021, equal to 27 million units in the first nine months of 2022), while volumes of the C2X segment are down by 7.6% year on year to 1.1 million units compared to the third quarter of 2021 (-20.1% compared to the first nine months of 2021, equal to 3.5 million units in the first nine months of 2022).

POSTE ITALIANE MAJOR OPERATOR IN THE POSTAL SECTOR, BUT COMPETITION IS STRONGER IN PARCELS
