Italians end up under "house arrest", albeit intermittently: first with the excuse of the lockdown, then with that of the red zones, then with the distancing and quarantine rules, finally with exile from the workplace or socializing for the reprobate rebels against the vaccine. For two years Italy and the world are literally "reset" not so much by the virus itself, but rather by the insane government management of the emergency and by the hysterical reaction of the mainstream media. Covid-19 is transformed into a pretext, or an alibi, to introduce unprecedented limitations on constitutional freedoms and (with the arrival of the first vaccines) to give life to the most infamous dissident hunt (redefined "no-vax") from the time of McCarthyism.
In those early days of February 2020 Francesco Carraro (lawyer, writer and journalist) starts keeping a diary. Almost on a weekly basis, he writes his impressions in the face of the unfolding of a story with ridiculous, then tragic, and finally distressing and grotesque outlines.
