From FIN DAY to click day

(… I apologize for my lateness. The month of September was quite busy: between the election to the Management Bodies Commission , the commitments in the area, some family affairs to resolve, I owe many answers to all of you , and I have at least three posts back, two technical and one political. Today, however, rather than answering you, it's urgent to talk about politics …)

The fortieth week of 2023, from 2 to 8 October, will be particularly important for the community that does not exist and which, by not existing, has not been able to give life to the debate on whether or not to join the magnificent and progressive fate of the project European, nor to that cultural and political movement that idiots call sovereignism , and we call true respect for the 1948 Constitution.

It is possible (not) to demonstrate that the community that does not exist has nothing to do with it by adducing extensive (and non-existent) iconographic documentation:

and videos:

(taken from here ).

Clear?

Maybe not, so to avoid misunderstandings, or equinoxes, as an ANSA journalist would say :

who is misunderstanding about the equinoxes, but also about everything else, perhaps it will be better for a moment to abandon the nursery rhyme of the blog that doesn't exist, with which we mock the tactical attitude of certain information operators, and to say things plainly, as they are, developing from the envelope of double and triple negatives.

If Italian politics has taken a certain direction, this is due in part, perhaps not decisive, but certainly not negligible, to the fact that someone, writing a book that occupied the top of the Amazon rankings for weeks, as you will remember, selling around 25,000 copies , banging around television studios and "left" and "right" blogs, speaking to everyone, from monarchists to communists, with equal respect and with equal competence, gained the authority to sit around a table in the North Hall of the Serena Majestic of Montesilvano, in front of 475 people, politicians from all sides, some of whom, at the time, it was not certain that they would exceed the electoral threshold, and now they are prime minister and vice prime minister. In 2014 I was so proud of having attracted Bertinotti (who?) and Cuperlo to Montesilvano, the same Cuperlo whom I now greet with affectionate but distracted courtesy while I stride across the Transatlantic to go to the Commission or return to San Macuto (and who at home his has some non-existent blog reader)!

Thinking about it makes me feel tender!

A not huge audience, that of 2014 in Montesilvano, smaller, for example, than the 578 who would gather two years later, but whose emotional and intellectual tension was palpable, commanded respect, and led us to reflect on where the consensus was, on what issues the Italians who vote are passionate about, those willing to travel for hours to listen not to politicians, but to arguments, to attend not rallies, but seminars, paying for the trip and sharing the conference expenses. Then as now, no party was able to achieve something similar, and this impressed politicians, always in search (unlike the writer) of consensus. Consensus is made of numbers, and it is up to those who wish to steer things in a certain direction to demonstrate that that direction is supported by a strong consensus.

The power of the community that doesn't exist had struck politicians before.

I remember, for example, that at the end of the 2014 midterm Giorgio La Malfa, in greeting me, asked me if I had ever thought of giving a political outlet to the consensus I had gathered, because, he told me, the presence of these people expressed a question, and that question had to be answered. My position at the time was simple and shared with you: I wasn't the one who had to answer. Famoerpartito was not a solution, it was a joke (we later had ample proof of this). It was the politicians I was addressing, respecting all positions, who had to take charge of the answer, and they would have done so if they had perceived that there was a question. Politicians didn't see full rooms and don't often see them. Just like we never see empty rooms.

So there was ample room for Pareto-efficient exchange.

But this was possible because someone (me) had created a market: he had managed to make perceptible to someone else (politicians) the presence of a demand, your desire for freedom and self-determination, your desire to commit yourself, to fight with the weapons of democracy to once again become arbiters of your destiny. In other words, the enormous relevance, even electoral, of issues that according to communicators and pollsters (the rotten cancer of democracy) did not excite the mythologematic "sciura Maria", the alpha and omega of good communicators, the compass without needle with which they orient themselves in the sea of your aspirations (only to then complain when they lead their ship to get bogged down in the Sargasso Sea of abstentionism).

There are proactive, intelligent ways of making consent visible, just as there are idiotic ways of doing it.

We have repeatedly stigmatized the stupid, petulant and counterproductive way that some have of giving the debate a certain direction: going on social channels to insult or annoy those who think like them! It's not by explaining to me why the European Union and the euro don't work that you will make things change, simply because if you know it it's because I explained it to you, or someone who learned it from me (or at least from Giorgio La Malfa). Borghi's famous "destroyers", in short: the narcissistic assholes whose psychopathology we have discussed at length , and there is no point in going back to them, also because they are as irrelevant as their methods of influencing the debate.

Instead, let's talk about intelligent methods: in the end, this is not a psychiatry blog (even if it also used neuroscience in analyzing heurism)!

It is certainly an intelligent way of highlighting support for a certain thesis that Claudio chose to point out that we don't want to know much about MES. We talked about it here , and the fact that this tweet got 2.3 million views is not irrelevant in political terms (and in fact it was noticed). I challenge you to find another Italian politician's tweet that has attracted so much attention. There isn't, simply because other politicians talk to you about things that interest you according to pollsters and communicators, that is, about things that don't interest you.

Next week offers you two more opportunities to intelligently steer the political debate in the right direction on the eve of the European election campaign. In fact, Monday 2 October is FIN DAY, and Sunday 8 October is click day.

END OF DAY

What FIN DAY is is explained here :

And here it will perhaps be appropriate to say a few words in favor of a particularly pernicious species of intelligent people(TM), those who "I vote/support you because you are so beautiful, so good, so intelligent [NdCN: translated: you make me feel so beautiful , so good, so intelligent… ] but I can't vote for/support your party!" Yes, I'm talking about the imaginative theorists of the "strong parliamentarian in the weak party".

Unfortunately, things don't work like that: if the party is weak, the parliamentarian, no matter how hard he may, will weigh as much as his party in any negotiation, and if he is in opposition he will weigh zero (which some provincial mayors don't understand).

When I asked for your support before last year's election campaign, in less than a week I reached the maximum amount I could raise and was forced to reject many of your offers of help . I don't think many of my other parliamentary colleagues could count on such a response. Entrepreneurs (few or many) who support them find them (and then have to respond to them), but in reality no one has a community that expresses a single question to answer, that of freedom. On that occasion you knew you were supporting me, the Bagnai candidate, and this overcame the hesitations of those who (wrongly) would like me to perform miracles but at the same time would like to eliminate the party I belong to! The mechanism devised by Claudio meets these morbid and not very pragmatic sensitivities: the sums that you wish to pay in the manner that he explains to you will be clearly attributable to this community and will therefore serve to demonstrate how much it weighs. It will be the most useful of the polls on the Europeanism of Northern League voters, it will be something measurable, something that we can put on the scales. Because "nontivotopiuuuh" is a howl in the wind: "I don't pay you anymore", if the quantum can be measured, it could be a far more convincing argument. In any case, a community is built over years and it is owned by those who built it. Affirming it, through concrete action, as a tool for measuring consensus implies that this consensus moves towards the theses of those who have a community . And only we have it.

In other words: instead of being stupid by reading the background of the retroscemists, those of you who are not happy with what they think (very often wrongly) is the party line now have a very simple way of indicating which line they would like: joining the FIN DAY. We're not asking you to support a party that isn't going where you want it to go: we're asking you to help us make the party go where you want it to go.

If there are many of you, a little will be enough.

Of course, Claudio's reward mechanism is designed to encourage people to give more, because a lot of energy is needed to counter the well-funded propaganda of others.

To Claudio's rewards I will add mine: plenary indulgence, with lifting of the block, for the first twenty taxpayers.

Click day

On the click day of October 8th I think I have little to explain to you. This year we return to the old format, from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Lower costs, less hassle, greater participation. Being there is important. If nine years ago 475 spectators were enough to induce certain reflections, to give rise to what idiots call "sovereignism", the same is true today, indeed, perhaps it is worth more, because your wait for change has been frustrated, I realize that account: the idea that it is worth committing may seem worn out, those who urge you to do so may seem interested. But the fact remains, and you experienced it nine years ago: if you want us to go in a certain direction you have to indicate it, and to indicate it you have to be there.

The photos and videos of our audiences do not leave you indifferent, I assure you.

Howling "nonvivotopiuuuh" under the profile of Claudio (but also of Matteo) yes.

I'll point out again that you have had proof of both things. The 475 of #goofy3 have changed history in their own way. The 4750 trolls who come every day to bray (for free or for a fee) their abominable and obscene idiocies under our tweets have changed nothing, not even the thing they cared about most: their personal destiny, with the conquest of the much deplored as coveted cadrèga!

It's not my opinion, it's an observable fact.

I have nothing else to add, except that I know you will not disappoint us.

See you in Montesilvano.

(… and I'll reply as soon as I can …)
